The Velot Group's portfolio of companies have spanned several industries including, Technology, Finance, Telecommunications, Automotive and Healthcare. Velot has deepened its focus for the last seven years by developing businesses on the provider side of healthcare delivery with particular attention to radiology and emergency medicine. Velot has recommitted to its current Healthcare focus with the goal of expanding into other medical specialties in primary care and specialty medicine.
Velot's clients range from startup entrepreneurial ventures generating less than 1 million dollars in annual revenue that aim to establish a minimum of 10 million dollars of enterprise value to middle-market companies with a desire to develop and grow a new business unit to supplement their primary service and product lines. In all cases clients recognize that their current structures are insufficient or improperly organized to achieve their identified objectives.
Executive Team
Arun Jethani, Managing Partner
Arun has broad entrepreneurial experience in both healthcare and human resources. Over the last eight years, Arun has helped start: 1) a radiology practice, 2) a Healthcare outsourcing company, and 3) a medical billing company. Prior to joining Medical Imaging Specialists, Arun was a founding member of The Radiology Group where he served as the CFO and Executive Vice President. The group was started with one physician and one hospital client and currently has over twenty physicians and 15 hospital clients. Prior to The Radiology Group, Arun worked as the Director of US operations of the Black Mountain group. Arun was a founding member of AtBalance Solutions where he was responsible for securing several Fortune 100 Clients in the pharmaceutical and financial industries. Prior to starting at AtBalance, he was a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he worked in the strategic HR outsourcing division. He was a founding member of this division that now has over 200 employees and supports over 20 large employer clients including Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Chevron, and Verizon. He is a graduate of Boston University where he received a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics and an M.A. in Economics. Arun continues his business education with The Aji Network. Jim is a highly focused entrepreneur that brings years of experience and accomplishment in the startup healthcare market. He has been successful in his mission to help entrepreneurs and professionals unlock the potential of their businesses to increase enterprise value. Prior to founding HealPro, a startup focused on delivering patient engagement solutions to healthcare organizations, Jim was the partner in charge of revenue development for Medical Imaging Specialists, a radiology business advisory firm that is one of several companies today referred by Siemens Financial for imaging center turnaround management. Prior to MIS Jim was the president of The Radiology Group growing revenues from 10 million with a 1 million dollar loss in 2007 to 15 million with break-even performance in 2008. Prior to The Radiology Group, Jim was Founder and president of The Solutions Group - Billing LLC which provided comprehensive accounts receivable management to radiology private practices before being sold to MDTO, an OTC US company, in 2007. Prior to TSG Jim founded The Velot Group which began in 2002 as a program and project management company with clients including AIG and Mellon Bank. Prior to Starting The Velot Group, Jim was employed at PwC and Goldman Sachs. Jim is a graduate of the State University of New York at Binghamton, with both a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. in Economics and Finance. David Beatty, Partner
Born in Ireland, David started his career as a headhunter in London in 1985 and, after joining the software company IMI Computing in 1988, transferred with them to the US in 1990. David also serves as chairman of Empire Messaging, Inc., which he founded in 1993, which provides enterprise messaging solutions. David has co-founded a number of successful companies including Healthology, Inc., a Health media company later acquired by iVillage/NBC, Acronym Media, a full-service search engine marketing firm and R2R Recycling, LLC, a company processing roofing scrap. David is single, an avid snowboarder, a tenor in the Choral Society at Grace Church, and a part owner of the historic John J. Harvey, a working, restored fireboat in New York City Harbor. |
