Project governance provides a project with an appropriate escalation mechanism to assist the delivery team to achieve their objectives. Velot advises on the form of the following aspects of the project governance structure:

• Delivery Team: includes the identification of a release lead, a deployment lead, subject matter expert(s), and functional & technical lead(s) with the responsibility of executing according to the project plan.
  
• Steering Committee: comprised of client and vendor managers that are critical to effective change control, budget, risk/issue, and resource management.
  
• Executive Committee: comprised of client and vendor senior management necessary to authorize the enactment of steering committee recommendations.
